Lining rehabilitation on a domestic transmission water main

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Mechanical Systems, Inc. was the prime contractor involved with the Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) lining of 1 mile of 100-year-old, 30” steel domestic water transmission main. The project was rehabbed with the CIPP technologies from Insituform. Excavation on the existing transmission main involved coordination with many entities, including the owner (Cheyenne BOPU), City of Cheyenne, Wyoming Highway Department (crossing under the Interstate I-25) and FE Warren Air Force Base (through their golf course and housing area).
