Over 38 years ago, a small, but dedicated, and forward-thinking group of four combined their years of industry experience and founded Mechanical Systems, Inc.

Even before we had a building, we had a strong foundation around our values—and though a lot has changed since those early days, our values have remained the same: safety, timeliness, integrity, quality.

As a testament to our quality, we are proud to have received the Small Business Administration Regional Prime Contractor of the Year and twice selected as Cheyenne Business of the Year. Over the past four decades, we’ve completed mechanical and utility projects of all sizes and in all sectors, including education, large commercial, institutional, governmental, light industrial, and multi-family.

Though we’ve grown to become the largest locally owned and operated mechanical/utility contractor in the state, we still think of ourselves as that same humble group from 1984—and we’re ready to put our years of industry knowledge and expertise to work across the region.

Commitment to Safety

The safety of our employees and all those around us is a top priority. To provide the safest work environment possible, we encourage a sense of mutual responsibility between management and staff and prioritize continual training, education, and on-the-job situational awareness.

Over the years, we’ve developed a close working relationship with the Wyoming Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services through their Voluntary Consultation Services program, and we have even assisted OSHA in training their own employees. We were also recognized for participating twice in OSHA’s “National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction” and recently nominated for the Wyoming Worker’s Compensation “Path to Safety Excellence Award.”

To ensure that our standards of safety are reflected across the board, we actively participate in the Pacific Industrial Contractor Screening (PICS) and BROWZ safety assurance programs.
